It’s the holiday season

This is just the best time of the year, isn’t it? I can’t think of another time when we sit back and reflect on the relationships we have with one another and what we mean to each other. Right now I’m sitting back and reflecting on 2011. I’m thinking about all of my customers, consignors, supporters, and friends. Thanks you for all you do to support my little shop, I truly appreciate each and every one of you.

America is about dreaming, about following your dreams and making a difference. Every day I wake up and feel so fortunate to know that I have helped so many people find great items for their home or as gifts for loved ones. For 2012 I can’t wait to see what great finds my consignors bring in and encourage all of my wonderful customers to stop in and bring friends with you to share the excitement of discovery.

Have a great holiday season!

We love Mom!

I know what you’re thinking- “buy mom a gift for mother’s day at a consignment store? No thanks!” So let me debunk that myth. Shopping for mom at a consignment store is perfect for your children! Kids are always looking for a neat way to show mom how much they care and are typically shopping on a an allowance.

But consignment stores are for more than just children, they are for everyone. Big box retail stores offer loads of ‘most of the same’, however shopping for mom at a consignment means this Sunday her gift will be unique.

Let’s review the benefits of a Consignment store for Mother’s Day:

  • Reasonably priced items
  • Always unique
  • Perfect for those on a budget or allowance

While your out this week looking for the perfect gift for mom, stop into your local consignment store and see what they have to offer.

Happy shopping and Happy Mother’s day!

Every gift has a story

We have some truly remarkable consignors. Each time they bring in new items to the store I love to hear about the history attached to it. It’s even more fun when I get to pass that story along to the new owner.

This holiday season it will be real easy to go buy an item from a big box store and call it a present. But a real gift is finding something unique, something that has a story attached to it. The possibilities are endless. During this season of giving, visit a consignment store and find a unique treasure for someone that you care about.

Give them a gift, not just a present.
